Surfaces I clean
Indian sandstone, natural stone, slate, porcelain, concrete slabs and older paving. Each surface needs a different approach: porcelain can take more, while sandstone and older pointing need a lighter touch so nothing gets damaged.
After the clean
If you want it to stay looking like this, I can seal the patio once it's dry and come back once a year to keep it clean. That's the cheapest way to look after a patio over time.

How often should a patio be cleaned?
Most patios benefit from a clean once a year, ideally in spring. Shady, damp patios under trees may need it more often.
Can you get black spots off?
Black spot is a lichen that roots into the stone, so it takes more than a pressure wash. It can be treated and faded, and sealing afterwards helps stop it coming back.
Does cleaning wash the pointing out?
Sound pointing stays put. Pointing that is already cracked or loose can come out during a clean, and I'll point that out and quote for repointing before I start.
